Just an idea for using gradients

Start with an image 500 X 500 pixels.

Layer one-Gradient set to Linear-Repeats 7-Angel 0
|
|
|
|
Layer 2-Gradient set to Radial-Repeats 7. Set Layer Blend Mode to Burn.
|
|
|
|
Layer 3-Gradient set to Sunburst-Repeats 0-Set Layer Blend Mode to Hard Light.
|
|
|
|
Added a White Hot Wax Coating, then Edge>Enhance and Colorized it.
