Just an idea for using gradients
Click here to
download my Rage Gradient
Start with an image 500 X 500 pixels.

Layer one-Gradient set to Linear-Repeats 0-Angle 0 degrees
|
|
|
|
Layer two-Set to Sunburst-Repeats 0. Set Layer Blend Mode to Burn.
|
|
|
|
Merge Layers. Go to Effects>Texture Effects>Sandstone.
Use these settings to give it a little shine.
|
|
|
|
You can add more gradients and layer blend for different effects.
Here I added my Recess
Gradient- Sunburst Setting-Invert Checked- Repeats 0
Set the Layer Blend Mode to Hard Light.
