This tutorial is NOT to be scripted or made into a "Quick Guide" unless it is for your own personal use.

To do this tutorial you will need a working knowledge of PSP. If you are new to PSP, or have a problem doing this tutorial, you can find me at Raven's PSP forum, be happy to help you out.

Open a new image 300 X 300, transparent background.
Flood Fill with Color #D8C5A8.

Go to Effects>Texture Effects>Blinds.
Use these settings. Color Black.

Go to Effects>Texture Effects>Fine Leather.
Use these settings. Color Black.

Go to Effects>Texture Effects>Straw-wall.
Use these settings. Color #242424.

Repeat the Fine Leather effect.

Repeat the Straw-wall effect.

Note: If you try this effect on a larger image, you'll have to repeat those steps more
than once. You may have to increase the Width of the Blinds effect also.

Go to Effects>Blur>Motion Blur.
Set it to Direction 315, Intensity 8.

Make sure your Foreground is still set to Color #D8C5A8.
Go to Effects>>Artistic Effects>Hot Wax Coating.

Go to Effects>Artistic Effects>Polished Stone.
Use these settings. Color #404040.

If you want it a little sharper, go to Effects>Sharpen>Unsharp Mask.
Experiment with the settings.

You could call it done at this point, or you could lighten it up some.
Go to Effects>Illumination Effects>Lights.
Find the Custom Setting Yellow Fill.
Change the color to #D8C5A8
Lower the Darkness and the Intensity to 4.

If you want a dirt terrain go to Effects>Artistic Effects>Enamel.
Use these settings. Color #E0BB80.

Go to Colors>Adjust>Brightness/Contrast, experiment with the settings.

To get a stone wall look, try using Wind instead of Motion Blur.
Here I used Strength 3 From Left.

Experiment, and have fun!
