Soft Sphere

| This tutorial is
NOT to be scripted or made into a "Quick Guide" unless it is
for your own personal use.
To do this tutorial you will need a working knowledge of PSP. If you are
new to PSP, or have a problem doing this tutorial, you can find me at Raven's
PSP forum, be happy to help you out.
You also need a light setting I call Fireworks.
You can find the settings on this page or
you can download this zip file. Extract the preset
and place it your Presets folder for PSP 7.
Open a new image, 400 X 400, Transparent
background.
Flood Fill
with Color #202020
Note: The lights won't work on a true Black. You need off black, that's why the color for the background is #202020. If you have trouble with that shade of black, try going
to just a little less black, maybe #040404.

Go to Effects>Illumination Effects>Lights.
Use the Fireworks settings.
Go to Effects>Geometric Effects>Pixelate.
Use these settings.

Go to Effects>Edge>Enhance More.
Repeat.
Go to Effects>Texture Effects>Rough Leather.
Use Custom Setting 2. Click
here if you don't have that setting.
| |
Make a Circle Selection, but not exactly in the center of your image.
Try to go just left and down from the center.
Watch the left hand corner of your workspace.
Start about here..

| |
Go to Effects>Geometric Effects>Warp.
Use these Settings. Repeat.

| |
Go to Selections>Invert, and then Edit>Clear.
Go to Selections>Select None.
| |
Go to Effects>Illumination Effects>Lights.
Select the Fireworks settings.
Change the intensity of the 3 lights to 15.
Click OK.
| |
Make another circle selection just a little smaller than your sphere.
Go Selections>Invert.
Go to Edit>Clear.
Go to Selections>Select None.
That should smooth out any Jagged edges.
Save as a PSP file.
That's it.:)
