Light Play-Part 2
Planets and Light Trails

This tutorial is NOT to be scripted or made into a "Quick Guide" unless it is for your own personal use.

Click on your background layer to activate it.
On your Main Menu, go to Effects>Noise. Set it to 5% Random. 

On you Main Menu, go to Colors>Adjust>Threshold.
Set it like this to make your stars. 

Set your Foreground color to #19192D, set your background color to #000000
Go to your Tool bar and select the Color Replacer .
Double click on your background to change the color.

 

 


On your Main Menu, go to Layers>New Raster Layer. Click OK..
Fill it with the Storm gradient.
Use these Settings.


Set the Layer Blend Mode to Hard Light.

 

 


Use the deform filters to give it more shape.
Here I used Twirl, Wave and Curly Q's.
Click here to see the exact settings.

 

 


Go to your Tool Bar. Click on the Eraser tool.
Use these settings. Erase bits of your layer.

 

 


On your Main Menu, go to Effects>Blur>Gaussian Blur. Set it to 20.00
On your Main Menu, go to Image>Mirror. 
Lower the layer opacity to 45%.

 

 

On your Main Menu, go to Layers>New Raster Layer. Click OK.
Fill it with Black.
On your Main Menu, go to Effects>Illumination Effects>Sunburst.
Use these Settings. Color White 

Set your Layer Blend Mode to Screen.

 

 


On your Main Menu, go to Layers>New Raster Layer. Click OK.
Fill it with Black. Set the Layer Blend Mode to Screen.
On your Main Menu, go to Effects>Illumination Effects>Sunburst.
Use these Settings. Color #FFFF00

On your Main Menu, go to Effects>Geometric Effects>Twirl. Set it to 720.
On your Main Menu, go to Effects>Geometric Effects>Wave.
Use these settings.

Repeat this on a new layer with these changes.
Color White, Vertical Setting 79.

Repeat again on a new Layer.
Change the color to Red, Vertical Setting to 76.

 

 


Click on your Background Layer. Make a circle selection.
On your Main Menu, go to Layers>Promote to Layer.
Keep Selected.

On your Main Menu, go to Effects>Illumination Effects>Sunburst.
Use these Settings. Color #B7916A
Repeat Twice.


 

 


Select the "planet" you just made.
On your Main Menu, go to Selections>Invert. Selections>Modify>Contract 2.
Invert again and add a New Raster Layer.
Fill with Black, set the Layer Blend Mode to Screen.
Use the Sunburst with these settings. Color #81C5FF

Deselect.
On your main Menu go to Effects>Blur>Blue Average. Set it to 3.
Open the Layer Palette and drag that layer below the promoted Layer.

 

 


Select your "planet" again. Add a New Raster Layer. Fill with Black.
Use your Sunburst again.

Deselect. Blur Average 3. Lower opacity to 75%.
