Fool's Gold
| |
| I wrote a new PSP 8 Quick Tip
called The
Midas Touch for turning most anything
into Gold. |
| |

| |
| This
tutorial is NOT to be scripted or made into a "Quick
Guide" unless it is for your own personal use. |
| |
To do this tutorial you will need a working knowledge of
PSP. If you are new to PSP, or have a problem doing this tutorial, you
can find me at Raven's
PSP forum, be happy to help you out.
If you need a larger view of a an example, just click on the image.
Open a new image, 300 X 300,
Transparent.

Go to the Main Menu, Effects>Artistic Effects>Chrome.
Use these settings. |
Set your foreground color to
#E3C125.
You can use other colors if you want more brown in your gold, or more
yellow.
Go to the Main Menu, Effects>Artistic Effects>Hot Wax Coating
On the Main Menu go to Effects>Illumination Effects>Lights.
Use these settings. Color #CE8D38
Make a circle selection around the light effect you added.
On the Main Menu go to Effects>Geometric Effects>Warp.
Use these settings.

Keep your circle selected.
On the Main Menu, go to Selections>Modify>Contract.
Contract by 1.
Keep your circle selected.
On the Main Menu, go to Selections>Modify>Feather.
Feather by 1.
Keep your circle selected.
On the Main Menu, go to Layers>Promote to Layer.
Now you can Deselect. You're done, just move the promoted layer and
you'll see your button made with Fool's Gold.:)
You might want to go the Main Menu and use Edge>Enhance or Enhance
More
Changing the colors and settings you use will give you much more than
gold buttons. Try using the deform tools for different shapes.
Experiment, and have fun!
