Gradients and Glowing Edges
Just an idea for a background effect.

To do this tutorial you will need a
working knowledge of PSP. If you are new to PSP, or have a problem doing
this tutorial, you can find me at Raven's
PSP Forum, be happy to help you out.
You can use almost any gradient for this tutorial.
I used my Steel Gradient.
to download. Unzip and extract to your PSP gradients folder.
This is an easy tutorial, I've included many screen shots to try to
show each step in detail
Step 1
Open a new image 500 X 500, transparent background.

Step 2
Click on your foreground fill to open your Materials Palette.
Click on Gradient and find the gradient "mqc Steel".
Flood Fill the
canvas.

Step 3
Go to your tool bar and click on the Warp Brush.

Go to your tool ribbon and click the Push option with these settings.

Clicking the check mark will apply your warp.
Clicking the X will undo your warp.
Just push your gradient around some and click on apply.

Step 4
Go to Effects>Artistic Effects>Glowing Edges

That's it, you're done..:)
Try this with different gradients and different settings.
Have fun and experiment!

This is the original PSP 7 version
I was trying to learn to make my own gradients
I put them all on one image just to see how they looked
Then I used Glowing Edges on it
Intensity 6
Sharpness 8
Thought the results were interesting

If you happen to like any of these gradients, you can find
them here along with a few others.
