Chocolate Text

| This tutorial is
NOT to be scripted or made into a "Quick Guide" unless it is
for your own personal use.
|
|
|
|
To do this tutorial you will need a working knowledge of PSP. If you are
new to PSP, or have a problem doing this tutorial, you can find me at Raven's
PSP forum, be happy to help you out.
You also need my Chocolate Gradient,
Click here to
download. Place it in your Gradients Folder.
Images are shown at 80%.

Open a new image 500 X 200, transparent background.
Set your Fill color to #404040, Stroke Null.
Choose your font. Here I used Bazooka set at 72.
Set it down as Vector Text. On you Main Menu, go to
Objects>Align>Center.
On your Main Menu, go to Layers>Convert to Raster.

On your Main Menu, go to Selections, Select All.
On your tool bar click on the Magic Wand ,
and then click on your text to select it.
On your Main Menu, go to Effects>Noise>Add. Set it 4 %, Uniform.
Click OK.
On your Main Menu, go to Effects>Edges>Dilate.

On your Main Menu, go to Effects>Artistic
Effects>Charcoal.
Set it to Details 100%, Opacity 15%. Click OK.

On your Main Menu, go to Effects>Texture
Effects>Polished Stone.
Use these Settings, Color #FFFFFF
|
|
|
On your Main Menu, go to Effects>Texture
Effects>Soft Plastic.
Use these Settings, Color #A5826C

|
|
|
On your Main Menu, go to Layers>New Raster Layer.
Set your Foreground Color to my Chocolate Gradient.
Flood Fill your
new layer.

Open your Layer Palette, click the arrow on Layer 3.
Change your Blend Mode to Overlay from the drop down menu..

On your Main Menu, go to Selections>Select none.
Make sure Layer 3 is still Highlighted on your Layer Palette.
On your Main Menu, go to Effects>Blur>Average.
Set it to 3. Click OK.
On your Main Menu, go to Layers>Merge>Merge Visible.
On your Main Menu, go to Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow.
Set it to Vertical 1, Horizontal 1, Opacity 80%, Blur 5. Color Black.
That's it you're done.
