Explosion

| This tutorial is
NOT to be scripted or made into a "Quick Guide" unless it is
for your own personal use.
To do this tutorial you will need a
working knowledge of PSP. If you are new to PSP, or have a problem doing
this tutorial, you can find me at Raven's
PSP Forum, be happy to help you out.
You also need Flaming
Pear's Glitterado. You can download a working demo. ( installing
filters )
Step 1
Open a new image 500 X 500
Set the background to Transparent.
Go to Layers>New Raster Layer.
Go to Effects>Plugins>Flaming Pear>Glitterado.
Set it up like this. You need some Stars and fair amount of
Fibrousness.
Colors #90A926 #B2C790
#B2C790
#A7C7C8
Step 2
Go to Effects>Illumination Effects>Lights.
Turn off Light 1,2,4 and 5. Just leave light 3 on. Set the color to #D99A2B.
Use these settings. Do Not click OK.
Step 3
Click on Light 5. Set the color to #FF9746.
Set it up like this. Do Not click OK.
Step 4
Click on Light 1. Set the color to #C32C21.
Set it up like this. Now you can click OK.
Step 5
Open your lights again. Find the preset effect called RGB light.
Go to Light 1 and change it to match these settings. Do Not click
OK.
| |
Step 6
Go to Light 2 and change the settings to match these. Do Not click
OK.
| |
Step 7
Go to Light 3 and change the settings to match these. Now you can click
OK.
| |
Step 8
Go to Layers>New Raster Layer.
Flood Fill with Black.
Go to Effects>Illumination Effects>Sunburst.
Use these settings to make a center for your explosion.
Set the Layer Blend Mode to Screen, that will turn your black
transparent.
You could just add your sunburst
on the first layer but then you can't make any changes later.
| |
This is just an example, experiment with different Glitterado
backgrounds and different light effects.
I'm sure you can come up with even better explosions..:)
That's it, you're done.:)
